She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Islamic Studies at Georgetown University with a focus on the development of Islamic law.

Religious minorities are often depicted as oppressed and vulnerable victims of their Muslim rulers. However, they were always protected under the rule of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the caliphs who succeeded him.
