The greatest act of worship that the Prophet ﷺ taught us to have at the time of death
is husn adh-dhann billah, a good opinion of Allah. Abu Ya'qub al-Qari said that, I saw a tall brown man in my dream who was being followed by a large group. So I asked the people, who is this?
And they said, this is Uwais al-Qarni (رحمه الله), the great tabi'i of Yemen. So he said that, I followed him in the dream and I said, O Sunni, give me advice, yarhamukallah, may Allah have mercy on you. So he then looked at me angrily and kept walking.
I said, O Sunni, give me advice, I seek guidance, so guide me, may Allah have mercy upon you. So he then turned towards me and he said, seek the mercy of Allah while loving Him.
Beware of the punishment of Allah while disobeying Him. And always remain hopeful in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. A man once said that, I saw Malik ibn Dinar (رحمه الله) after his death.
Remember the man whose daughter called him back to Allah in his dream? And he said, I said to him, Ya Aba Yahya, how I wish I knew what you came to Allah with.
So he replied, I arrived to Allah with so many sins, but they were all erased due to my husn adh-dhann in Him. Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Abdul Aziz said that, I saw my father in a dream after his death
where it appeared that he was in a garden and he was handing me apples. And then I said to him, which deeds have you found to be most superior? And he said, seeking forgiveness, O my son.
Allah is merciful and will forgive the one who asks forgiveness from Him with confidence. And Allah won't disappoint you if you pursue Him with that good opinion of Him. Ammar ibn Saif said, I saw al-Hasan ibn Salih in a dream.
So I asked, what information can you give us? Because I've been hoping to meet you for such a long time. And he said, rejoice, for I have never seen anything that benefits the believer like having husn adh-dhann in Allah.
And when Abdul Aziz ibn Sulaiman died, some of his sahaba said that we saw him in a dream wearing green clothes and a crown of pearls. So someone asked, how did you find death? How have you been?
And how did you find your home that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has prepared for you? He said, look, as for death, do not ask about how difficult it was. But the mercy of Allah has concealed all of our shortcomings and we could not have met
without His grace. Dear brothers and sisters, as we've gone through all of these punishments of the grave, all of the horrors of the grave, I want you to remember that it was never going to be your deeds that would save you from that station.
It was always Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that you would need to depend upon. And here you are in this moment and you're wondering what's going to happen to my soul? What's happened to the souls that have gone ahead?
And I want you to just remember that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who gave you Ramadan, the season of mercy, Allah who gave you Laylatul Qadr, one night that could solve all of your problems and give you a lifetime of good, would not have given you all of this unless
he wanted you to be forgiven so long as you avail yourself of the opportunity to be forgiven. So as we come to this series, as every other series, I remind you, connect your heart to Allah.
Do not leave him after Ramadan, for he will never leave you so long as you seek to cling to him. And I leave you with this du'a from the Prophet ﷺ. O Allah, I ask you for a life of coolness after death.
I ask you for the delight of gazing upon your face. And I ask you for the longing to meet you, but not due to a harmful adversity or fear of a misleading trial. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala protect us all.
May he pardon us all. May he accept from us all. May he make this a means of ease and comfort for our brothers and sisters in Gaza and all around the world.
And may he reunite us all in his gardens of pleasure here, in the Barzakh, and in the highest level of Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
I go to visit them in the grave every morning. It's like they're asleep. I tell them, how are you, Kareem? My love. You keep telling me, O Ayyoui. How are you, Ayyoui? How are you? How are you, Tari?
I want to kiss you. I couldn't kiss you. I couldn't. I kept going to buy things for them after the war. They used to ask me for bananas and ducks. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. I used to buy them for them. His children were burned in front of him. His daughters were burned. His family was burned. He was bombed. His leg was burned. His friend told me that his leg was burned.
