Reporting to the Head of Media Production, the Videographer is responsible for filming, developing, managing, and producing video and/or audio modules for Yaqeen Institute video projects and marketing campaigns, promotion and messaging for use across any broadcast or digital platform specified by Yaqeen, current or emerging. The Videographer is essential to the advancement of Yaqeen's digital strategy. Under the direction of the Head of Media Production, the Videographer is a member of the Media services team who produces high-quality, relevant work that complements campaign themes, aligns with the Yaqeen brand and supports institutional priorities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and edit video content for a variety of projects, ensuring alignment with the creative vision and objectives.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and team members to develop concepts and storyboards.
- Operate and maintain video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound gear, to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Conduct interviews and gather footage on location, ensuring effective storytelling through visuals.
- Edit and assemble video footage, incorporating graphics, sound, and other elements as needed.
- Organize and manage video files and assets, ensuring efficient workflows and project tracking.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in videography and video production.
Required skills
- Proven experience as a Videographer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in video production techniques, including shooting, lighting, and audio recording.
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and pacing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with motion graphics and animation software (e.g., After Effects).
- Knowledge of color grading and sound design.
- Familiarity with various video formats and platforms (YouTube, social media, etc.)
