On Saturday May 12, Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research received the Ally for Justice Award from Muslim Legal Fund of America, a charity dedicated to defending Muslims’ civil rights and liberties.
“MLFA believes Yaqeen is leading the way in providing resources that inspire confidence and instill awareness of Islam in American hearts and minds. Knowledge of our rights, our history, and our ideals are key to our ability to contribute positively as members of society and uphold and defend the rights and dignity of all.”
With the rise of Islamophobia, Yaqeen Institute is dedicated to challenging doubts and addressing relevant topics to help foster a better understanding of Islam. The site receives thousands of diverse visitors a month, and it offers research publications, articles, and other materials to aid in the understanding of complex topics.
Omar Suleiman, Founder and President of Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, said, “Yaqeen is humbled by the award and hopes that in providing access to our roots, we can better equip our community to tackle the many injustices in the world.”
