Dr. Celene Ibrahim is a faculty member in the Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy at Groton School. She is the author of Women and Gender in the Qur’an (Oxford University Press, 2020) and the editor of One Nation, Indivisible: Seeking Liberty and Justice from the Pulpit to the Streets (Wipf & Stock, 2019). Her current book project is forthcoming from Cambridge University Press and is entitled Monotheism in Theory and Praxis: An Islamic Perspective on the Potentials and Limits of Human Knowing. Dr. Ibrahim received a doctorate from Brandeis University, a Masters of Divinity from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.
