Every Muslim has a role to play. What’s yours?
Our recent publication “Souls Assorted: An Islamic Theory of Spiritual Personality” by Zohair Abdul-Rahman and Dr. Nazir Khan explores this concept, illustrating the theory that each Muslim has a natural disposition that influences what aspects of Islamic practice, belief, and virtues naturally appeal to them. Many Muslims practice Islam in their own personal way, may it be praying more, being more charitable, learning, etc. Once people are in touch with their identity, they can focus on their diverse talents and strengths to better serve God as well as making a positive impact on their communities at large. Through this concept, one understands there isn’t one right way to practice and grow in the religion.
Now, readers can identify their own spiritual personality through our newly released quiz! The quiz is comprised of 21 questions that explore different facets of religious practice, spirituality, and personality. Upon completion of the quiz, users will unveil their spiritual personality, including both knowledge and behavior types, a description of the roles they can play in the world, and action items to inspire them to serve Allah and their communities.
Through the publication and quiz, the authors aim to give readers a sense of self-awareness that empowers them to fulfill their role in serving Islam, while encouraging our communities to embrace the diversity of our talents and traits. Every Muslim has something to offer.
