How it works:
Is this donation tax deductible?
Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
Is this donation zakat-eligible?
Yes. “Since the purpose of Yaqeen Institute is 'establishing conviction in the hearts and minds of Muslims, and battling the false notions that underlie Islamophobia and extremism,' it is a legitimate recipient of zakat. This position is adopted by a number of contemporary scholars, including the Islamic Fiqh Council. They consider dawah to be included in the category of 'fi sabeel-illah' mentioned in the verse of Surat at-Tawbah detailing the deserving recipients of zakat." -Dr. Hatem al-Haj
How do you keep Yaqeen's content free?

From our founding as a non-profit research initiative, we have pledged to keep the entirety of our content free and accessible. This allows everyone looking for answers to always have a comprehensive resource readily available to them.
