**[0:00]** The second reason we love, in no particular order, is that we love for the sake of hope and potential. We love something that gives us hope. That's just our nature. When we see something as a potential for some sort of gain, we love it. Whether it's a person or

**[0:15]** an object. The easiest example is what? Money. Why do people love money? Because it makes them hopeful that through the money they can access the things that please them, the things that give them joy, the things that satisfy them. Right? So now let's bring that reason

**[0:36]** for love to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Do we hope in anyone but Allah to grant us security for ourselves and our loved ones? And to keep us healthy and safe? Do we have hope in anyone

**[0:53]** but Allah Azza wa Jal to keep us firm upon faith? Do we have hope in anyone but Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala to give us Husnul Khatima, a good ending to our lives? Do we cling in hope to anyone but Allah to be able to comfort us in the darkness of our graves and protect

**[1:12]** us from the torment of the grave? Do we have hope in anyone but Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala to give us shade on the day when there will be no shade but the shade He grants? Do we have hope in anyone but Allah Azza wa Jal to allow us to drink from the hand of His

**[1:28]** Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam on that day? A drink that will never allow us to go thirsty after it again? Do we have hope in anyone but Allah Azza wa Jal to allow our faces to shine? Yawmata biyaddu wujuhu wa taswaddu wujuhu, on the day when certain faces

**[1:47]** will be bright and radiant and others will go dark? Do we have hope in anyone but Allah Azza wa Jal to give us our books in our right hands? Or do we have hope in anyone but Allah Azza wa Jal to get us across the bridge over the Sirat safely? Or do we have hope in anyone

**[2:04]** but Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala to get us and our loved ones through the gates of Jannah and raise our levels in it to Al-Firdaws? And therefore, even according to this marker, no one is to be loved the way Allah is to be loved. For no one gives us hope the way

**[2:20]** Allah gives us hope.
