**[0:00]** Welcome to video number 3 of Yaqeen Institute's mini-series, Why Does God Ask People to Worship Him? Thank you for coming this far. So far we've learned that when God asks humans to worship Him, it is not out of need in the same way humans need God.

**[0:16]** Rather, God asks humans to perform religious acts because it actually helps them. Let's take a look at how worship benefits us. Worship can bring inner peace and self-actualization, liberation from life's common worries,

**[0:33]** a clear and principled moral foundation, a renewed sense of faith, harmony with the universe. As you can see, there are many benefits of worship for both the individual and humanity as a whole. We've learned how worship benefits us.
