**[0:00]** Why did the Prophet, salallahu alayhi wasalam, constantly ask for forgiveness in all situations? Ibn Taymiyyah said, The servant is always between a blessing that requires his thanks and a sin that requires the seeking of forgiveness.

**[0:17]** Allah's mercy is in the constant blessings He gives us, even in our ungratefulness. And His mercy is in turning towards us and loving us, even after our sinning. Repentance is not only for redemption, but it is to humbly gain the pleasure of Allah, and a higher, more noble standing before Him.
