Navaid Aziz is a Canadian Muslim public figure with a diverse academic and social background. With ancestry from India and Pakistan he was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec where he graduated from Champlain College in Social Sciences. His pursuit of Islamic education led him to the illustrious Islamic University of Madinah where he completed an Associate's Degree in Arabic Language and Literature and a Bachelor's in Islamic Law in 2008. Upon returning home to Canada Navaid began teaching for Al-Maghrib. The world's leading English Islamic Institute.

In 2019 he completed a diploma in Public Relations and Communications from Mount Royal University, and was appointed Director of Public Relations for AlMaghrib Institute. In 2012 He accepted the role of Imam and Director of Religious Affairs at the Islamic Information Society of Calgary, a position he held till the end of 2023. He has published Op-Eds in the Washington Post, Globe and Mail, and National Post. He has had multiple media appearances across CBC, Global, Vice News, The Calgary Herald, TRT, The Intercept and more. His lectures online have hundreds of thousands of views, and he has travelled across 5 continents and 34 countries lecturing and teaching. His hobbies include board games, travelling, and exploring local cafes.
