Along with his academic studies he has and continues to pursue traditional Islamic studies from various institutes and scholars. His interests include topics such as tafsīr, tazkiyah, Islamic psychology, colonialism and Islamic education. He currently serves as a University Chaplain for Mcgill University and is a regular khatīb, public speaker, and lecturer throughout Montreal.
